Do you every just think to yourself why do I always comply to these instructions. I personally thought it was just a waste of time and for no reason at all. But to find out it's for the safety of me and fellow passengers in the case of an emergency. I read that 45 percent of fatal accidents happening with a airplane tend to happen during the landing or takeoff of a plane. They tell you to open up the windows cause during takeoff or landing because during those times they dim the lights in the cabin cause it to be dark there. But during those things they tell you to open the windows so just in cast of an evacuation you can see where you are going. making you to move faster and not risk you or anyone else's life. It makes it easier for people to evacuate somewhere when they can see where they need to go. they tell you to put up your reclined seats so just in case of an accident or emergency the person behind you will have space to move and get out of the plane as quick as possible. It basically just give them more room to navigate. It is like basically the same thing for the tray tables too. They want you to put up your tray tables so in the case of the emergency you can easily get out. In the case of an emergency having your seats reclined and/or your table trays down could slow down an emergency evacuation causing fatal injuries or even probably death. So if it was me I would rather comply than risk my life over one small thing.
